History
As the grass-roots voice of suburban business, The Greater Nepean Chamber of Commerce is incorporated under provincial letters patent as a not-for-profit business organization since 1980. Our mission is to promote, to develop and to protect business and the free enterprise environment.
In January of 2001, after serving the Nepean business community for more than 20 years, the Nepean Chamber of Commerce, along with seven other local Chambers from the former Regional Municipality of Ottawa Carleton, founded the National Capital Business Alliance (NCBA) to bring forward business issues of common concern to the Mayor and Council of the newly amalgamated City of Ottawa.
By associating with the NCBA, we are a vital part of the largest, most comprehensive and diverse business organization in the Nation’s Capital. Operating as the “Nepean Chamber” within the NCBA speaks to our historical roots and primary focus on issues of a very local nature.
