The Barrhaven Food Cupboard has experienced a significant up-tick in requests for food assistance from families (in both frequency during the year and in the number of families) this year. At the same time, donors are still feeling the effects of the economic slowdown. This "double-whammy" has resulted in resources being stretched much tighter than in previous years. This results in even more families coming forward as they feel the pinch of increased household expenses such as for heating.


A sincere thank you to all our members for supporting the Greater Nepean Community for their contribution during this year's Food Extravaganza. An event that raised $1500.00 for the Barrhaven Food Cupboard
