Many of our members actively attend meetings, lunches, networking breakfasts and other special events. Others benefit from lower merchant rates for Visa or MasterCard, group insurance deals, and often from other members looking for a product or service who turn to the Membership Directory - either the printed or on-line version, first.

Direct Referrals
One of the primary benefits of investing in the Chamber is having an outside body referring potential customers to you. Each year the Chamber makes literally hundreds of direct referrals to member companies in response to a broad variety of inquiries.
Preferred Merchant Credit Card Rates

Group Insurance
The plan is available to all Chamber members, regardless of the firm size, and is particularly advantageous to companies with fewer than eight employees where, traditionally, group rates are not available. The plan is highly flexible to fit anyone's needs and anyone's budget. The disability insurance has proven very attractive to those operating home-based businesses.
Free Internet Listing
All corporate members are listed on the Chamber's website and hyper-links, as appropriate, are provided to members at no charge.
Promotional Mailings
Members have two convenient options for the distribution of Chamber approved literature and promotional material.
Members may purchase the most current mailing labels for a nominal fee of $65 and do their own mailings. Alternatively, members may choose to provide the Chamber with the promotional material for distrubtion with the Chamber's monthly newsletter. This option is weight dependent and rates for inclusion of supplied material begin at $85.
Luncheon Meetings
The Nepean Chamber's monthly luncheon meetings (excluding July, August and October) facilitate the development and expansion of your personal business contacts as well as providing highly informative and entertaining keynote speakers.
"Nexus" Breakfast Meetings
The Chamber's monthly breakfast meeting "Nexus" (the connecting link) is presented at various dining venues throughout the city. Your are given the opportunity to express your needs, share your leads, and generally make everyone aware of your products and/or services. A central exhibit area is provided to display your business cards and promotional literature and you receive a contact list of everyone at the meeting to facilitate future communication with them.
Community Pride Banner
The Chamber displays a "Community Pride" banner at each of its functions. Exclusively, members may be listed on the banner for a one-year period for a nominal fee of $195 - a promotional bargain for members.
Social Events
For members who enjoy fun and network best in a social setting, the Chamber annually presents a Comedy Auction, Duffer's Day Golf Tournament, Business Awards Dinner and a Christmas Luncheon.
Newsletters
The Nepean Chamber's monthly newsletter, Business Connexions, keeps you abreast of upcoming Chamber events and developments on the political and business scenes. As the newsletter is mailed to the entire membership, members may include, for a fee, their promotional material along with the newsletter.
The newsletter also provides another opportunity to promote your firm. The bottom of the two inside pages of the newsletter is devoted to member business card ads. These ads cost $45/month for 10 months, plus GST.
As well, the back page provides a further opportunity for firm profles. A half page profile is available for $150, plus GST - another promotional bargain for your firm.
Business Directory and Networking Guide
Annually, the Nepean Chamber publishes a business directory and networking guide called Contact. This handy reference manual is a valuable tool for facilitating the interaction of Chamber members. All Chamber members are listed in, and receive a copy of the publication, at no charge.
Community Involvement
The Nepean Chamber is the proud founder of the Nepean Sports Wall of Fame at the Nepean Sportsplex and the Ray of Hope Campaign for the Queensway-Carleton Hospital which is now being operated as part of their ongoing Hand-in-Hand campaign. As well, our annual Comedy Auction provides a further source of funds for the Hospital.
